Our app does have a dislike feature if you were already matched with them and you subsequently 'close' the match with them. When you close a match, that person is disliked in our database and they won't be presented again in your swipe search.

We don't provide a dislike during the initial swipe search because we serve a niche community and it would be far too easy to dislike people on first impressions and quickly be left with no more profiles to see.

We feel this type of use does not reflect how matches are made in the real world.

Before the days of internet dating, you may have seen someone in your community or at different social functions over and over again, even if you were not initially attracted to them, and not by your choice!

We are each aware of many people who changed their minds and discovered their true soul mate after several encounters like this. You may not be initially attracted to someone but after repeat exposure, you may choose to explore further by looking at their profile or perhaps they will add new pictures which will give you a different perspective. We understand you may not want to see a profile in your experience so you can always block them or close a match and you won't see them again.

Please note, if you accidentally liked someone, you can "unlike" them from your likes list. This is not the same as "Dislike". It simply removes your Like as if you never rated them in the first place.
